Induction Day, 2k19

                                                                                     -Contributed by Sai Nithika

Enlightening Lives aims to create social awareness among the students about the struggles and hardships faced by several people in the society and to inculcate in them the humanity to help these people out. So, on the Induction Day 2k19 for Freshmen, the team of Enlightening Lives had conducted a session.
Any session earns student's attention only if it is interactive. So, initially, we started by explaining the young minds what an NGO is.
An NGO stands for Non-Governmental Organization. These organizations aim for the betterment of society and are non-profitable. Keeping this as a main motive Enlightening Lives was started by students in the year 2010. Enlightening Lives have associated with various other organizations and work for the people in need.
Now that the freshmen are aware of what Enlightening Lives is, we took it forward to give them a better understanding by telling them the various events organized by us.
Enlightening Lives conduct blood donation camps and organize several fun activities like Rakhi stalls, Dhaan Utsav, etc. Later this money and goodies received are used for a good cause. Enlightening Lives aims at creating social awareness through various Campaigns and to provide education for the ones in short of money or facilities.
Many misunderstand that to serve a greater cause, it takes a lot of effort and money. To clear this misunderstanding of the students, we told them our basic source of fund.
Every little ounce that you donate has a cause. Enlightening Lives gives transparency to all the money so that not a single rupee is wasted in the wrong way. Unlike other NGOs who are running around for funds, Enlightening lives came up with an idea which is out the box.
“One person one rupee one day”
A person donating one rupee every day can gather thirty rupees at the end of the month. Thousand such people can gather thirty thousand per month. In this way, without any burden, anyone can donate money.
The students were also interested in the collaborations, the structure of an organization and its working. Their enthusiasm was appreciated and was given answers by Ranganadh, the President of Enlightening Lives.

Miss.Hanisha’s take on Enlightening Lives:
Enlightening Lives aims to provide a lending hand for those in need. Enlightening Lives have organized stalls and provided a donation to orphanages, they also donated a sum for alumni of 2011, provided scholarship for EEE students and conducted a scholarship test for students. They also offered money to Blind School, Narsapur and adopted Divya Disha Foundation, an orphanage in Sangareddy.
This interactive session ended on a good note with enthusiasm in the freshmen to serve a great cause and help in the betterment of society.
