Never Retreat

On the 30th of August, Enlightening Lives donated a sum to a needy man... Ramulu, a 63-year-old man was fighting for his life after being met with an accident on the 30th of August. He got admitted to a hospital in Nizamabad, he was diagnosed with a clot in the brain and the major issue was his ribs were seriously injured making it difficult for him to breathe and was on ventilator support. Doctors of that hospital were demanding huge amounts of money for his treatment. His son Sanjeev was unable to afford such an amount of money for his father's survival and then when he approached Enlightening Lives for help. The core team held a meeting and decided to donate from the organization’s treasure. This decision was taken understanding the seriousness and urgency of the situation. Sadly, Ramulu did not survive despite undergoing surgery. 

Saving a Life!

 On the 21st of August 2020, Enlightening lives started a fundraising campaign, intending to save a life. Here is its briefing. Praveen is a 22-year B.Tech undergraduate from KITS Warangal, who was fighting his life with cancer. He was undergoing chemotherapy. His bone marrow was also to be transplanted and one other typical cancer treatment. All of these cost around Twenty Lakh Rupees. Praveen’s family were in a situation where they weren’t able to afford this. They were able to collect around 5 Lakh Rupees through a crowdfunding organization. Enlightening Lives decided to contribute its part in saving Praveen’s life. A campaign was started and funds began to flow in. With the tireless effort of Enlightening Live’s Core and its volunteers, within no time Enlightening Lives donated a life-saving amount to help Praveen. Enlightening Lives promised any further help to Praveen and his family. We consider this campaign as one of the pleasing and worthy donations Enlightening Lives made. 

Raksha Delivered- Raksha Bandhan 2020

                                        DELIVER THE LOVE!

Raksha Bandhan, a festival, a day where brothers take a promise to protect their sisters. Taking this protection to the next level, expanding the boundaries of protection to an unknown place but a place where there are brothers and sisters from other mothers lead their lives! Enlightening Lives has organized yet another fundraising activity, once again amidst pandemic!

As said earlier, the expanded boundary of protection reached Sishugruha, an orphanage in Sangareddy. With a noble intension to help the orphans leading their lives under hard conditions and struggling to survive in this Pandemic, Enlightening Lives collaborated with a Rakhi artist, Who carved personalised names on Rakhis. When this news reached the student masses, there was a huge demand flowing for these Rakhis. With every Rakhi being brought, an amount required to feed a toddler was being raised. Even with a huge success of Bandhan, Enlightening Lives had to end it with RakshaBandhan being on the troth.

 

POLAROID

Polaroid is a sister contest that was conducted along with Bandhan! Polaroid contest was also conducted with the same intension as Bandhan! In polaroid contest, Photos of students with their siblings were asked to send, with a minimum donation of 50/- but a few pupils with bigger hearts donated more than the minimum amount! Pictures sent by the pupils were posted on the Instagram page. Participants were asked to fill out a google form, which had some funky questions related to sibling fun, and after going through all answers given by all the participants, a winner will be chosen and the winner will receive a wonderful gift from Enlightening Lives. Polaroid ended on the 5 of August with 17 participants and the winner is awaited!

With the amount raised form both Bandhan and Polaroid, Enlightening Lives donated the Orphanage, the food supply for a month…The representative who went to the orphanage on behalf of the enlightening lives says she is absolutely overwhelmed by the happiness she saw in the eyes of those children!

 Enlightening Lives express its heartful gratitude for everyone who donated for the welfare of a brother from another mother and a sister for another brother!

Vruksha Sampadha 2020

Right now, we are in the midst of a pandemic. This is the right time for us to rediscover ourselves and to fix our busy lives. And the first step to achieve this serenity is by planting a plant. Plants are the source of our energy; they are the source of the beauty in this world and most importantly they are the source of our life.

“If speaking kindly helps a plant to grow, imagine what speaking kindly can do to humans”. Plants have many lessons to teach us. They give us food, air to breathe, and nature to rekindle us. And yet we kill them to satisfy our own greed.  As compensation to the atrocities we made to this nature we can compensate for the reparations by planting a sapling.

We the team of enlightening lives came up with an initiative to plant trees. Planting a sapling gives us happiness, but we made it more fun by adding the present generation tint and that is “vruksha sampada”.

This year we're going to start a sapling plantation program at your place!

Fundraiser Event - Art Contest

Sketch the art competition

“Painting is poetry that is seen rather than felt, and poetry is a painting that is felt rather than seen” said Leonardo da Vinci. In order to enlighten the creative side in the people, we the team of "Enlightening lives" are organizing an "Art contest" as a fundraiser event and thereby, putting our efforts to come handy for the people who are unable to afford basic necessities this pandemic. This competition is conducted to bring back those nostalgic memories when you used to doodle as a child. Sharpen your brains and put all your imagination on the paper. All you need to do is donate a minimum of 50/- to be eligible to participate in this contest. People who are willing to help us can donate even more. Details regarding this contest:

•  Take a photo of your drawing or screenshot of the payment and they must be sent to this mail el_bvrit@bvrit.ac.in  Don’t forget to write your details like name, Instagram id, age, description of your picture. Pictures must be emailed before 21 of May,2020. Pictures will be posted on enlightening lives Instagram page @el_bvrit so don't forget to follow our page. The picture with most likes will be declared as a win (tip: share your post to as many people as you can).  The top three most liked pictures will be declared as winners.  All the contestants who won are honoured by posting their pictures in our blog symbolizing their valuable help and donation for the welfare of people.  Online certificates are given to all the participants.

Despite the fear of the pandemic, enlightening lives planned to do something creative and that is this "Art contest". This is a wonderful way to create awareness among people alongside helping those who need help. This is how we brought a smile on many people's faces in this pandemic.

Gentle reminder from enlightening lives team:

• Make sure to maintain social distancing.  Stay indoors and go out only if it is a necessity.  Keep yourself clean by washing your hands frequently and cleansing with sanitizer. Don’t forget to wear a mask when you go out.  Also don’t spread rumours on social media regarding this pandemic. Most importantly have faith and spread some love to this world.

The pandemic has made our lives hard; it made our lives disastrous. From busy and colourful lives to the grim and gloomy lives it not only affected the country’s growth economically but also affected the lives of people, especially the lives of those who are poor because everything is shut down and is latched it’s hard for us to survive obviously but for the people who are poverty-stricken and the daily wage workers imagine how hard it is for them to deal with it and to sustain and get along the pandemic. It’s not only plaintive to see but dealing with it affects our social, mental and economic lives. It makes all of us feeble.

But if we come along, we can deal with it and will be duck suop. ‘Togetherness over solitary’ is going to make our lives better now dealing with pandemic so helping needy should be the main objective to make the pandemic less austere.

We the members of Enlightening Lives took a step to make the pandemic less innocuous and help the needy who are stricken by both pandemic and poverty. We have organized Chitraka photography contest. The pandemic made us slow down let’s make it pragmatic and make most of it by encountering nature our thoughts and positivity. We have to unveil the opportunity to capture the nature and to lose in thoughts of positivity.

The theme revolves around animal and nature photography. We posted the photography of contestants on our social media pages and the winner will be based on the number of likes. And we offered participation certificates to all our contestants.

Through the funds we received, we donated the basic commodities to the needy people who are striving hard to survive through the pandemic. The pandemic surely is the moment to let our humanity out and help needy and make their lives better. “The pandemic made us from being ‘I to us’ we are together fighting it through social distancing and so should we aid the needy people and the environment.”

“The results of PHILANTHROPY are always beyond calculations,” said Miriam Beard.

One such experience struck the Enlightening Lives family at the ASHAJYOTHI FOUNDATION, JOGIPET. This prodigious two and a half hour journey to the ASHAJYOTHI FOUNDATION started at 8:30 in the morning and the first thing we did after reaching there by 11:00 AM, was the donation of clothes.

                                

Clothes were donated to each and every child residing in the ASHAJYOTHI FOUNDATION, we even took the pleasure in donating clothes to the workers of the foundation. We were overwhelmed that we could witness the purest form of happiness in the eyes of those children. They prayed for the growth of Enlightening Lives which was really a heart-warming gesture.

The most surprising thing was the boldness and talent those children possessed- they danced, sang along with us in ANTHAKSHARI and more surprisingly they came up on to the stage and spoke without any fear of mass gathering. This is something which even a few grown-ups can’t do. For a moment we felt like we were among some pocket dynamites who could achieve anything with the amount of intellect they possess.

We are grateful that we were asked to visit the other branch of the foundation in GAJWEL. Finally, we consider the 15th of March as a day to be remembered. We hope the prayers from those little hearts get answered so that our family grows big to serve humanity Forever and Ever!
